I’ve done shots of the inside of my computer case many times, but I don’t think I’ve done one with the wide angle before…
I’ll have to try it with some other lighting sometime though.

One of the interesting things about a photo like this is that it actually involves many different attempts. Each trying different patterns of movement of the camera, different exposure times, different processing techniques — all to arrive at finding just the one shot that strikes the right visual appeal.

In honor of having done my sixth half marathon last weekend, and logging over 30 miles of running in one week, I decided to get a new pair of running shoes yesterday. These are the Saucony Ride 7 and they sure do look pretty snazzy! (I’ll really need to take some more time to give them a proper photoshoot soon though.)

Got together with some co-workers this morning for a run. We did just over 8.5 miles out in Poly Canyon, which meant it was a trail run with some grueling hills at the start. Fortunately, the incredibly scenic nature of it more than made up for the challenge. I even had to stop for a moment to grab a quick photo. Gorgeous!
Also, most of the really hard stuff was done by the 3.5 mile mark, so that made the rest of it seem much easier than it would have otherwise!
Oh, and when the team run was done, I went off for another mile and a half so I could get to the 10 miles that my training plan had me scheduled to do today. Next Saturday, I get to go 15, which will be my farthest run ever :-)

A Bitburger beer and a bratwurst at the new Brat Shop downtown with friends… Pretty great way to end the work week!

Is it just me, or does a path with more overgrowth become more interesting? Perhaps it is the very fact that it has become less used, that makes it so intriguing.
