Big Sur Camping Trip

0

Just got back from a wonderful four-day camping trip up in Big Sur, CA. Had some rain the first night, but fortunately, not until after camp was mostly set up. Got to spend a lot of time hiking, sitting around a crackling fire, cooking hot dogs and hamburgers, drinking beer, checking out Nepenthe and the Hawthorne gallery, driving the twisty turns of Highway One, reading, seeing Julie Pfeiffer Burns state park, enjoying a delicious breakfast at Deetjen’s (best Eggs Benedict anywhere!) and more.

I even made sure to completely turn off my phone upon arrival, once I discovered that I was actually able to get about a bar or two of signal occasionally at camp. No intrusions or diversions from the normal world for me. It was glorious.

And since I had no connectivity, it’s now time to get caught up on sharing photo of the day for the past three days. I think I’ll just take care of that in one post.
